About
We founded the label in 2004 as a vehicle to release music from our extended family of musicians. Our sound has its roots in Chicago’s vibrant underground music scene but draws influence from all over the world. We are an electronic music label that isn’t hung up on genre. We release house, tech, lounge, trip hop, drum and bass, funk and anything else that makes our brows scrunch.
In June of 2004 we converted a loft on the edge of downtown Chicago into an underground nightclub we called the Safe House. For more than 3 years we threw amazing parties featuring some of the most talented DJs and performers from Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Canada, United Kingdom, Belgium, France, Venezuela and Brazil. On New Years Eve 2008-9 we threw one last party at the venue.
In December of 2008 we inked a deal to become apart of the EsNtion family of labels assuring that our music would reach the widest possible audience. 2009 promises to be our break out year!
