Biography

Thought to be a bastard love child of Prince, Earl was adopted by a gypsy family, and raised on a diet of European techno. Having run away at the age of 18, he made his way to Chicago, where he would shine shoes and breakdance for money. Progressing to studio work and DJing, Earl found his sound to be bass-driven and funk-fuelled, and earned fans in both the US and Europe. A now content yet withdrawn character, Earl spends his time making music for fun, while his shoe-shining empires thrives across several States.  Actually…

Earl Jives is the psudonym of London’s Lee Jarvis who has releases on 4Kenzo, Lost My Dog, 1200 Traxx and Comforably Numbed. His releases are routinely in Stompy.com’s Top 100.  He was the founder of London’s popular Moochin’ parties and recently relocated to Chicago. He’s been traveling in the United States with frequent hops back to London to rock clubs with his jackin’ house, tech and fidget sound.  His tracks get support from the likes of Diz, DJ Heather and Chris Santiago (Santiago & Bushido) to name a few.
