Bryan Ford

Bryan Ford
Bryan Ford, co-owner of Revolutionary Music, is a gifted musician who can write & improvise on the drums, bass guitar, keys, and guitar. Anyone who has spent time with him in the studio or on stage will tell you that his creativity comes as a stream of consciousness. He is not afraid to take chances, because he always seems to make them work.
Bryan has been playing the guitar, drums and bass guitar for over 20 years. Over these years he has toured the country numerous times with various bands. From 1994-2000 he was the lead singer/guitar for the 7 piece horn driven funk band, Isabelle Haze. From 2001-2003 he played guitar for Meg Lee Chin, the former lead singer/songwriter for Pigface. With Meg Lee Chin he toured the U.S. with the infamous Chicago ensemble, My Life With the Thrill Kill Kult. He played drums in a blues/rock outfit called the Badvibes from 2003-2008. He currently writes music and performs as the drummer/guitarist for the electro/funk-hop duo Bryan Ford & Goulet and plays bass in the rock band Ain’t No Er Like A Stripper.
In 1998, Bryan met his current business partner, Jeremiah Seraphine. They began to collaborate on music. Soon, they released their first single together on Four Play Music entitled “Deep Brown Eyes.” Soon after they completed a remix project for Four Play Music entitled, “No Time For Love (Seraphine & B. Ford’s Mahi Mahi Mix).” Chicago’s house scene began taking notice of his talent. Stacy Kidd commissioned Bryan to co-write a string of well received singles on labels such as Music 101 and MAW. Bryan also co-wrote the song “Forever” by the Lake Street Project, which made it into the top 20 on the Billboard dance charts in 2007.
Being a true music junkie, Bryan explored electronic music even more. As quickly as he bought a pair of turntables, he learned to beat match and program better than long time veterans. He also picked up the hunger to find obscure records and paradoxical blends. Realizing that turntables can be a powerful platform to broadcast his own music, Bryan began to customize his sets with all original songs. Since then he has shared the decks with world renowned jungle-ists such as Danny the Wild Child, Deejay Phix, and DJ Evol. He also has an elaborate collection of vintage vinyl and obscure beats that he sometimes delves into at special events around Chicago. In a nut shell, Bryan loves music with a passion and listens to music religiously. He can go from playing hip-hop to funk to rock all in a single set without missing a beat.
As of late, Bryan has hung-up his DJ shoes as he focuses on writing music and performing live with various acts. He continues writing music in his two favorite genres, electronic music and Rock & Roll. Bryan is an unapologetic shredding rock guitar player and drummer at heart, a true child of the Guitar God Golden Age (Hendrix, Sabbath, Zep, Van Halen, J McLaughlin, Zappa, etc.). Long live the guitar solo!
Currently, Bryan is a traveling artist/performer/producer (D&B, Trip Hop,Lounge, House, Hip Hop, and Rock &Roll), music consultant for Shifty Johnson & Terry Swank, bassist for alt-rock act Ain’t No Er Like A Stripper, 50% of After School Special, 50% of Bryan Ford & Goulet, and co-owner/executive producer of Revolutionary Music. If you think you’ve never heard him, think again, because he is everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
