Downtempo Lounge Music

There are so many genres that almost categorize the downtempo lounge grooves and airy chillout that our artists create.  Terms like trip hop, acid jazz, nu jazz, Ibiza chillout, mushroom jazz, jazztronica and chillout lounge music are thrown around, but none of them seem to completely capture the sound.  We’re OK with that.  In fact, our artists pride themselves on defying genres.

Organica Lounge

Organica Lounge is what we chose to be the catch-all phrase for the downtempo we are releasing. We combined the terms Electronica and Organic, putting the emphasis on Organic, because most of our artists play real instruments rather than relying on samples.  In 2009 we are releasing a full length compilation entitled Oranica Lounge that showcases some of the most interesting downtempo chillout music being released. It features artists such as Bryan Ford, ELEV8TOR, Burton L., Justin Reed, Sista Stroke, After School Special, Dirty Candy and DJ Goulet.
