Electronic Dance Music
In the late 1970’s and early 80’s, house music was born in our city, the City of Chicago. It began as a derivative of the disco break. Some of our friends and acquaintances such as Frankie Knuckles, Vince Lawrence, Jesse Saunders and Marshall Jefferson were among the early pioneers of this sound. Over the years it developed into many different genres and sub-genres, drawing influences from the vibrant music scenes in cities such as New York, Detroit, San Francisco, London, Paris, and Berlin.
Revolutionary Music co-founder Jeremiah Seraphine has been heavily involved in Chicago’s vibrant house music scene since the mid 90s. He was also heavily influenced by the many techno, tech house, breaks and electro DJs that performed at the legendary Gainesville, FL nightclub Simon’s Innermind in the early to mid 90s. He is responsible for dance music A&R at Revolutionary Music.

The San Francisco deep house sound is the other half of Revolutionary Music’s deep house A&R influence. For several years Jeremiah Seraphine paid a monthly visit to the Bay Area. His deep house music taste was heavily influenced by his bay area friends including Rasoul, Mauricio Aviles, Charles Spencer, Miguel Migs, Sunshine, Corey Black and Lance DeSardi.
