Darcy M
Darcy M is more than just a beautiful voice. She has been writing deeply emotional and personal music for most of her life. You can hear the raw emotion when you listen to her recordings. You can see it when you watch her perform. She is the real deal.
Darcy came of age as an artist performing disco-influenced underground dance music at Chicago loft parties and acclaimed music venues like Double Door and Darkroom. These performances had her singing lead vocals for Elev8tor, a now-defunct band with a loyal cult following.
She also grew up singing in Chicago area professional choirs. At the age of 13, her brother, Burton L, pulled her into the studio for the first time. With him, she recorded tracks like “Feel the Love,” which was remixed by underground luminaries like Abicah Soul and J Boogie. Over the years she sang on tracks featuring hip hop artists like Pugs Atomz, Killah Priest, and Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan.
